Recording begins!

We are in the studio this week (Nov 10- 17) cutting Glen's new CD, "Redemption".  It has been an amazing experience, seeing Glen's vision come to life.  Yesterday, Ivan Neville came in and contributed his talent on three tracks, playing  B3 organ and clavinet and trading vocals with Glen on "Bad By Myself".  I think you will all be blown away by Glen's brilliant cover of Gavin DeGraw's "Chariot". Tomorrow we'll be adding his aunt and cousin on backing vocals.  That is going to be one of the many surprises for fans on the release.

The players on the CD include Jamison Ross (Thelonius Monk Competition Winner 2013) drums, Alex J Hall - drums, Barry Stephenson - bass, Josh Starkman - guitar, James Martin - sax, Ricio Fruge - trumpet, Ivan, and Anders Osborne.  The CD is being produced by Leo Sacks, who has re-mastered over 200 releases for Sony, produced the New Orleans Social Club, and is currently working with Bill Withers.  The CD will be mixed by Leo and Ray Bardani, a multi-Grammy winning engineer who worked with Luther Vandross for many years, and recently won Grammys with Kem, and Ledisi.

If all goes according to plan, we will have the completed CD in hand by the end of the year for a local release, with a national release in late March.  Watch these pages for news on a single in advance of the release date.

Red Beans and Ricely Yours,
